Schoolmates since 2012, Mr Lye Yi Hao, 29, Mr Joshua Chan, 29, and Mr Tan Jun Kiat, 30, were itching to build a business.

It was an idea born out of a problem they had experienced – the lack of affordable, quality ergonomic furniture. Founded in 2017, ErgoEdge is on track to bring in a revenue of $5 million this year, its growth reaching record highs since Covid-19 outbreak, when many worked from home.

Mr Lye left his full-time job in OCBC bank to focus on the business.

The company’s immediate focus is to create innovative products to tackle the challenges of a home office, such as a noisy environment and the lack of space, and cater to the needs of hybrid workers – those who both work from home and in the office.
