SB Emerges Again As Champions In The Supply Chain Challenge SCC++ 2021

29 Jul 2021

On 23 July 2021, SB students from the Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) Operations Management (OM) took home the Champion, 1st Runner-Up and Merit award in the Supply Chain Challenge SCC++ 2021. Our students have been champions of this competition since 2016.

SCC++ 2021 is organised by Singapore Logistics (SLA) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) for all Polytechnic and ITE students.

After a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic, SCC++ 2021 is back with a new on-line format with an exciting theme, ‘Reimagining Supply Chain Resilience through Digitalisation’. Participants were challenged to conduct in-depth analysis and research on the real-life supply chain challenges of five Singapore-based companies and propose feasible strategies that involve digital solutions.

The finalist teams visited and conducted fieldwork on-site over a five-week period. They worked with industry professionals from their mentor companies to propose and refine their ideas before pitching their final proposals to a panel of industry and academic judges.

81 polytechnic and ITE teams participated this year. Five teams from SP DBA made it to the semi-finals. Of these, three made it to the finals, which comprised a total of five finalist teams.  Our students did not just gain rich experience from this competition, they held the flag high for our school. We are immensely proud of them.
