SB Freshmen Orientation Camp 2018
26 May 2018
The School of Business (SB) organised the Freshmen Orientation Camp for the 160 incoming SB student freshies. On the first day, campers were brought through the rules of the camp so that all campers stayed safe. Campers were introduced to their seniors, and they enjoyed the activities, getting to know one another better.
Day Two began with the campers heading down to Kallang River for the dragon boat racing activities. Campers and their group leaders suited up excitedly and headed into the respective boats. After hours of training, the boats lined up for the race. At the signal, every boat rowed their hardest to the finishing line, chanting loudly - with cadence in unison and vigour.
Day Three provided good insights to our freshies as they participated in the Q&A session which covered the related courses and tips to help them prepare better for Poly life.
Everyone was sad when the camp ended but each of them relished and treasured the fun and bonds of friendship forged - with plenty of commemorative pictures with one another. It was indeed heart-warming and fulfilling for the organising committee to know that they had played a meaningful role in orientating their young charges/freshies, facilitating a smooth transition for them as they embarked on their new endeavour and pursuits in SB.
