School of Computing alumnus wins Future Leader in Tech award

Sng Jay Kai, an alumnus of the Diploma in Information Security & Management (DISM) course (now renamed as Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics), was recently honoured at the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) Gala Dinner as the Future Leader in Tech 2024. This prestigious award recognises young people who are 30 and below, and who have shown sustained commitment to infocomm and digital media and have made a difference with their contributions.

Jay Kai has demonstrated a deep passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to engaging youth in shaping Singapore’s digital landscape. As the Deputy CEO of Cyber Youth Singapore, he is dedicated to empowering young individuals to fully leverage technology's potential. One of his notable achievements includes the development of Project Phishless during his final year at Singapore Polytechnic. This project is designed to help Singaporeans identify and mitigate phishing attacks, further showcasing his dedication to enhancing cybersecurity awareness and education.
