Singapore Polytechnic launches anniversary book to commemorate seven decades of influence in shaping the polytechnic education landscape

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) launched its 70th anniversary book titled "For All Ages, Singapore Polytechnic At Seventy" at the third Polytechnic-ITE (POLITE) Staff Appreciation Day today. The book chronicles the evolution of polytechnic education in Singapore and encapsulates SP's rich history as the nation's first polytechnic, its achievements, aspirations, and dedication to lifelong learning. The occasion, which was graced by Guest-of-Honour Minister for Education Mr Chan Chun Sing, also marked the commencement of SP's 70th anniversary celebrations.

Singapore Polytechnic is MRANTI's first education partner in Singapore

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) has partnered with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI) to foster better knowledge exchange and cross-border insights, contributing to continued progress through internships, joint projects, and international opportunities for students. The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) – MRANTI’s first with an educational institution in Singapore – was witnessed by the Guest-of-Honour Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies at the Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) 2023 event held earlier today.

The Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) co-launched a first-of-its-kind Human Resource (HR) Learning Journey (HRLJ) at the SP Business Innovation Centre. Guest-of-Honour, Member of Parliament & Assistant Secretary General, National Trades Union Congress Mr Patrick Tay witnessed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between IHRP and SP to collaborate on various areas, including the HRLJ, an on-site experiential HR learning journey to build mindshare and create awareness on the value of HR in powering workforce transformation.

Singapore’s national supercomputer to be used in student education and upskilling of professionals to support future jobs

The National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Republic Polytechnic (RP), AI Singapore (AISG), Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) are partnering to jointly develop talent in HPC by developing new curricula, training courses, workshops and student competitions in areas such as HPC, AI, data science and analytics, and advanced simulation and modelling.
