What is EAE (for Working Adults)?

EAE allows working adults early admission into the courses at the polytechnics based on their course-specific aptitudes and interest.

Who can apply?

Working adults who are Singapore Citizens (SC) or Permanent Residents (PR) with generally at least two years of relevant work experience may apply.

Applicants who are found suitable but whose past academic grades do not meet the Minimum Entry Requirements (MERs) will be assessed holistically for their pre-requisite competencies through supplementary assessments.

Application Stage [6 June 2019 (Thur) to 3 July 2019 (Wed)]

  • Interested students can apply via www.polytechnic.edu.sg. Applicants will be asked to complete your personal particulars and submit a write-up to explain your passion and aptitude for the courses that you are applying for. Each applicant can select up to three courses of interest.
  • Please also include details of your working experience (job scope, number of years of experiences and work achievements etc) in the short write-up.

Offer & Acceptance Stage [26 Aug 2019 (Mon) to 11 Oct 2019 (Fri)]

Offers will be made to successful applicants. EAE applicants may view and accept offers on the online application system within the stipulated period. A student who accepts his EAE offer during this stage will be guaranteed a place in the polytechnic course.

Note: Students who have secured a place in the polytechnic by accepting and confirming the poly EAE offer will not be eligible to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE), Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) or other polytechnic admissions exercises.

Should students wish to withdraw their acceptance, they must submit their withdrawal online via www.polytechnic.edu.sg. Students who have accepted a Poly EAE offer but do not withdraw by the stipulated deadline will not be able to switch courses within or across polytechnics once their offers are confirmed.
