Students who possess international qualifications may be considered for admission into our Full-Time Diploma Courses. The minimum entry requirements and application procedures are listed below.

SP may consider your school-based results if your national exams/results have been delayed due to the pandemic situation. Candidates are required to sit for Online
Entrance Tests. Should there be sufficient candidates, SP may conduct online Entrance Tests in neighbouring home countries.
Interested applicants may complete the electronic application form (E-Form) and submit the required supporting documents (Refer to
How to Apply for details) by the application deadline. Should the qualifications be printed in a language other than English, please provide an English translation.
Returning Singaporeans
Must have completed at least Year 10. Application will be assessed on a case by case basis. Qualification attained must be equivalent to the GCE 'O' Level Certificate.

Singapore
Integrated Programme (IP)
Students from Integrated Programme (IP) Schools in Singapore who have completed the equivalent of Sec 4 as well as those who have graduated from IP schools can be considered for admission.
Eligibility is similar to GCE 'O' level (please refer to
Full-Time Courses). Eligible candidates will be assessed based on their school performance, recommendations, tests and / or interviews.

A 'B' average overall would be minimally sufficient for candidates to make a competitive application. We only accept English as 1st Language.
Note: IGCSE / GCSE Grades A to C is comparable to GCE 'O' levels Grades 1 to 6 and IGCSE / GCSE Grade D is comparable to GCE 'O' Grade 7.
(For those with new IGCSE / GCSE Grades 9 to 1, Grades 9 to 4 would be comparable to GCE 'O' levels Grades 1 to 6 and IGCSE / GCSE Grade 3 is comparable to GCE 'O' Grade 7).

Other qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, but should generally have the following:

- The polytechnic reserves the right to amend the information provided without prior notice. Those residing overseas offered entrance tests in Singapore have to make their own arrangements if they wish to sit for the test. The above closing dates still apply.
- Meeting the minimum entry requirements is not a guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted or selected. Shortlisting / selection will depend on competition for limited course vacancies in the year of application.
- Those offering GCE / GCSE / IGCSE qualifications will be assessed fully on this qualification and no entrance tests will apply. It cannot be used in combination with any other qualification for entrance test subject exemption.
- An applicant is deemed to have attained a sufficient level of Proficiency in the English Language if he / she attains a TOEFL minimum score of 78 [internet-based], or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) minimum score of 6.0 (overall and for all the components) or passes our English Language entrance test. Our English entrance test is only offered to selected / shortlisted applicants.
Please also note that TOEFL scores must be received directly from ETS (Educational Testing Service) otherwise it will not be considered. (The code for Singapore Polytechnic: 8510).
