$55k bursary gives accounting students a leg up

The Straits Times, 23 Sep 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Accountancy student Angeline Phung as one of the recipients of the first education programme bursary from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (Isca) for needy accountancy students. While preparing for her O levels two years ago, Angeline’s father died suddenly of gastric cancer. To help out with her family’s expenses, Angeline worked two jobs to make ends meet and at times was so strapped for cash that she would eat only bread for her meals. Besides financial assistance, Angeline will also get internship and mentorship opportunities along with her bursary.
