2,000 households to take part in energy-saving challenge

Channel News Asia, 31 Jan 2016 - News clip featured the SP solar car team in the backdrop of the ECo Day Out, where Environment and Water Resources Minister Masagos Zulkifli and Mayor of the South West District Low Yen Ling announced an energy-saving challenge to reduce the electricity consumption of Singapore households in the South West district. The solar car, SunSPEC4, was conceptualized and built entirely by students and staff from the schools of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering.
