7000 more slots and 900 courses for National Silver Academy

Lianhe Zaobao, 28 Jul 2017 - Article mentioned that there will be 7000 more slots and around 900 courses for the National Silver Academy (NSA) by the end of the year. The NSA is an initiative under the Action Plan for Successful Ageing and consists of a network of post-secondary education institutions and VWOs offering courses to seniors above the age of 50. Suresh Punjabi, Director of SP’s Professional & Adult Continuing Education Academy shared that the polytechnic is currently offering 35 courses under the NSA. Suresh also mentioned that more than 150 seniors have signed up for the popular IT and social media courses, as these seniors are usually aspiring entrepreneurs and wanted to tap on new technology for their businesses.
