805 military personnel promoted at MINDEF and SAF ceremony

At 16, Anand joined the SAF-Polytechnic Joint Diploma Scheme to fund his education and gain admission to SP due to financial constraints. Nearly 30 years later, he has risen to become the Commander of the Army’s 6th Division and has been promoted to Brigadier General. This programme not only solved his financial issues but also provided a strong foundation for his military career, during which he served as a signal officer and intelligence officer, and earned a degree in computing. Anand attributes his sustained passion for his work to being assigned to different units periodically, despite the job's challenges and tough decisions.
