Discovering his passion

Berita Harian, 4 May 2015 - Full page article featured four upcoming SP graduates who have overcome various challenges to do well in their course. One of the graduates, Mr Muhammad Shafieq Muhammad Nizam, is from the Diploma in Bioengineering. He shared how his dream as a pilot was shattered when he discovered he was colour blind. Due to his father’s encouragement and his positive personality, he managed to pick himself up and enrolled in the Bioengineering diploma course with an open mind. Along the way, Shafieq discovered his passion for the course and he mentioned how the challenges have made him more mature. During his time in SP, Shafieq was also the President of the Student Union and helped organise activities and initiatives for students. Graduating with a GPA of 3.84, Shafieq will continue his studies in physiotherapy at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
