Feeling the squeeze: Older and smaller attractions on Sentosa

Channel News Asia, 10 Jun 2016 - SP’s tourism and resort management lecturer, Ms Lorraine Gan, opined on how Resorts World Sentosa maintained its popularity by packaging and marketing the various attractions to tourists. She added that “uniquely Singapore” attractions such as Fort Siloso and the Merlion could be better packaged and marketed as “historical” packages. Course Manager of NYP’s Hospitality and Tourism Management diploma, Ms Shirley Tee, opined that older attractions could focus on culture, history and food to differentiate themselves from RWS.
