Flap your wings

The New Paper, 13 Mar 2015 - The article features three SP engineering graduates, Kaung Koko, Anthony Jhoni, Zheng Hao Lee, Albert Jhoni, and a final year student, Albert Jhoni, who have entered the annual Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) with their flying mechanical dragon project, Hunter, which is into its 19th prototype. The team also won a Gold Award at the 2013 SP Engineering Show for Hunter. Team Hunter is SP’s first team in four years to successfully enable controlled flight using a flapping wing platform according to Mr Duncan Sih, an SP mechanical and aeronautical engineering lecturer. Some of Hunter’s parts were made from a 3D printer owned by Kaung Koko. The SAFMC results will be announced on March 21.
