From ‘stupid’ to perfect GPA

The New Paper, 15 Aug 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Architecture graduate, Zhang Zhirong, who recently graduated with a Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore. He shared that in 2005, he had a score of 105 for his Primary School Leaving Examination and only qualified for the Normal Technical stream in secondary school. Not wanting anyone to look down on him, Zhirong worked hard and went to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), where he graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.0. He then continued to study architecture in SP. He also mentioned that he worked part-time as a waiter, then as a sales assistant to finance his studies during his ITE, polytechnic and university years.
