He chose ITE over poly, wins awards with invention

The New Paper, 4 Jan 2017 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering student Rayner Eng. Despite scoring eight points for his N levels and qualifying for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP), Rayner chose to go to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) instead. He took up a Higher Nitec in mechatronics engineering at ITE College West, graduated with a perfect grade point average of 4.0 last year, and was awarded the IES Engineering Award. Rayner, now a first-year student at SP, shared that he was inspired to be an engineer as he was an avid robot collector as a child.
