The New Paper, 3 Aug 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Computer Engineering alumnus, A Saravanan, who recently graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering department as one of his cohort’s valedictorians. Saravanan shared that he had an early start in the programming field. As a child, Saravanan was interested in faulty computer games that could not be played, and started troubleshooting them when he was just eight. His good grades in NTU earned him the chance to work with the US Air Force Academy, where he worked on a code to repair a faulty sensor in a satellite that had been launched by the academy. He worked with NTU’s Satellite Research Centre for his final-year project, which determines whether a smartphone-based satellite can function in space. Saravanan is now working as a software engineering analyst with multinational consulting firm Accenture.
