He went to make coffee just to improve his acting skills for “Kopitiam”

Shin Min Daily News, 12 Apr 2016 Article featured SP’s Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology graduate Zhuo Wei Ping who is a psychology student in NTU and one of the main actors for the local theatre play “Kopitiam”. This play is adapted from Cultural Medallion recipient Kuo Pao Kun’s 1986 play “Kopitiam”. He shared that he acted as a homosexual in his first play during his poly days.  His idea of combining sign languages and drama in his final year project was rejected by his tutor who felt that he and his course mates did not have sufficient knowledge in this area. This motivated him to learn sign languages and make plays for the hearing-impaired after graduating from SP. He also shared his role in the play “Kopitiam” and his future career path.
