Channel 5, 2 Mar 2016 - The second of a three part series sees Acting Minister for Education Ong Ye Kung sharing his views and stories on how SkillsFuture can benefit students in Singapore. Mr Ong is joined by representatives from the industry and community, including SP’s Principal & CEO Mr Tan Choon Shian, Chairman & CEO of Singapore Education Academy Mr R Sinnakaruppan, TP graduate and founder of travel app ‘Wander’ Ms Krystal Choo, and NUS student and singer Ms Farisha Ishak. Topics discussed in this episode include the importance of helping students develop relevant skills for future jobs, as well as nurturing curiosity and creativity among youth. Mr Tan also stressed the importance of lifelong learning and intrinsic motivation in education.
