The Straits Times, 21 Aug 2017 - Article featured PM Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Rally speech, in which he highlighted that every family can move up the social ladder. He cited Aziz Ahmad, who has received bursary awards from PM Lee and whose father and son have both done so too. Aziz graduated with a diploma in mechanical engineering from SP, worked in the semiconductor industry for over a decade, and earned a master's degree. Two years ago, he was headhunted by pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline, where he now works as a senior maintenance engineer. Similar story was reported in Today, Berita Harian and Lianhe Zaobao.
