Berita Harian, 12 Jul 2017 Article featured Muhammad Khairul Anwar Jamil, who recently graduated with first class honours at NUS. Khairul scored poorly in his A levels and went on to complete his National Service. But Khairul found it difficult to get a job after National Service, and this led him to pursue a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at SP. Khairul shared that he was doubtful about entering poly as his course mates would be much younger than him. Due to his excellent results at SP, Khairul was chosen as the valedictorian during his poly graduation and he expressed his gratitude towards his encouraging and understanding parents. Khairul will be going to Ecuador next month to work and he advises fresh graduates not to be discouraged while searching for a job. He opined that employers look beyond academic qualifications during hiring.
