Record 466 students win Sinda awards

The Sunday Times, 25 Sep 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering student Sarannath Devanathan as one of the 466 recipients of the Singapore Indian Development Association's (Sinda) Excellence Award. The award is given to students who excel in their studies or areas such as sports and this year marks the largest number of winners in its 25-year history. Sarannath shared how he dropped out of his ITE electronics course as he saw no point in it after a month. He nearly signed on with the Navy during his National Service before an officer convinced him to continue studying. He took up the officer’s advice and passed his Nitec before enrolling in SP.
