Reigniting the engineering spark in Singapore

Channel News Asia, 23 Oct 2016 - News clip highlighted the challenge in convincing individuals to take up engineering as a profession in Singapore. SP’s FabLab was featured in the video as one of the facilities which aim to get students interested in Engineering. SP’s FabLab manager, Mr Steven Chew, mentioned that the poly has been busy with outreach activities through the engineering camps and the Robotics and Maker Academy. Steven also mentioned that the FabLab works with a lot of schools in Singapore to promote engineering. He also shared that a passion for engineering plays a crucial role in sustaining interest in students. SP’s segment in the clip starts from 2:45.
