Singapore Polytechnic supports ‘Smart Nation’ initiative through national robotics competition

Berita Harian, 29 Mar 2015 - A total of 600 participants, including 470 students from local primary and secondary schools and 130 international participants, took part in the recent RoboCup Singapore Open 2015. The competition was jointly organized by SP and the Singapore Science Centre, and supported by the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) under the National Infocomm framework. The national level competition provides participants with an opportunity to enhance their skills in the areas of robotics and coding and aims to nurture their passion in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The CoSpace platform developed by SP researchers was also mentioned in the article. Selected winners of the RoboCup Singapore Open 2015 will stand a chance to represent Singapore in the RoboCup World Championship 2015 in Hefei, China, from 24 to 30 July.
