Singapore bags two golds at ‘Olympics of Skills’

The Straits Times, 20 October 2017 - SP’s Diploma in Computer Engineering graduate, Andrew Tan, has won a bronze medal in the information network cabling category of the WorldSkills Competition that was held in Abu Dhabi. The competition is also known as the "Youth Olympics of Skills". At the same competition, NYP’s third-year digital game art and design student Ng Jun Xuan beat eight others from around the world to win gold in the 3D digital game art category. TP’s logistics and operations management graduate Olivia Low also emerged top in the freight-forwarding contest. Two other NYP students took home a bronze medal in the health and social care and IT network systems administration category. This year, the Singapore team won two gold, three bronze and eight medallions of excellence at the WorldSkills Competition.
