Student repays SIT for taking him in when no one else would
13 Jan 2017
The New Paper, 13 Jan 2017 - An advertorial featured SP graduate and final-year SIT student Tengku Muhammad Khalaf. He shared how skipping class was his favourite pastime in polytechnic, and that he graduated with a GPA of just 2.7. Because of his bad grades, no university would take him in. He then worked as a contractor for Singapore Power from 2012 to 2014, but eventually decided to enrol in SIT’s Engineering in Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Land) course due to his interest in construction. He now has a GPA of 4.6 out of 5 in his final year, and is on his way to graduating with honours.
