Studying while working in the accounting field

Berita Harian, 7 Apr 2017 - Article featured Nur Ariyanni Binte Hamidon, a second-year student from SP’s Diploma in Accountancy (DAC), who is currently taking SP’s part-time Professional Chartered Accountancy (PCA) course. She shared that she originally planned to go on to a university after graduating from SP, but realised that a university route is not the only pathway to become a chartered accountant. She also opined that work experience is very important in the accountancy field, because exposure to the workplace would teach her soft skills, such as communication and people skills. Ariyanni is currently doing her internship with Royal Management Services, where she helps accountants to gather information and manage balance sheets. She also shared that she intends to pursue a career in the accountancy field in the future.
