Berita Harian, 29 Mar 2017 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Architecture student, Shaul Hameed s/o Mohamed Shariff. He shared that he did not take education seriously in secondary school and messed around with his classmates. He was reprimanded by his teacher, who made Shaul realise that he was distracting his classmates with his antics. Realising that his actions were selfish, Shaul began to take his education seriously. With renewed determination to do well, he received numerous bursaries, scholarships and Edusave Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES Award) in 2011 and 2014. He went on to ITE Central College, where he majored in architectural design. He achieved a GPA of 4.0 for all four semesters and even made the dean’s list. Shaul is now a third-year student at SP, and aspires to become an architect in the future. Outside of school, he also serves as a member of the youth executive committee in Clementi Community Club, where he helps to organise activities and events for residents in the area.
