Web retailers join hands for membership programme

The Straits Times, 21 Apr 2017 - Article highlighted that online shopping site Lazada and online supermarket RedMart teamed up with other online services to launch a membership programme yesterday. This is in anticipation of the launch of Amazon in Singapore. The programme, called LiveUp, offers users benefits such as rebates and discounts for Netflix, Uber, UberEats and Taobao Collection. SP’s senior retail lecturer Sarah Lim opined that the collaboration between established tech companies gives them a good chance of fending off competition.
