Women shop more but men spend more

14 Jan 2016

The New Paper, 14 Jan 2016 - Article featured results from a survey conducted by students from SP’s Diploma in Media and Communication (DMC), who found that young men tend to spend more on online purchases compared to women. It was mentioned that the survey is part of the students’ project for their Mass Media Research module. DMC lecturer Ms Clarice Sim opined that SP advocates hands-on learning and that the module equips students with relevant skills for prospective employment. Second-year DMC student Elizabeth Foo explained the findings and opined that the most challenging part of the survey was picking out people to interview.
