Young Singaporeans ‘more open to entrepreneurship’

14 Jun 2016

The Straits Times, 14 Jun 2016 - Article featured the ninth Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium, organised by the youth arm of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Over the three-day symposium, participants will attend talks and networking events with start-up founders, and learn about aspects of entrepreneurship such as pitching and coming up with business ideas, and digital marketing. Article mentioned that last year’s symposium was organised by SP’s Diploma in Aerospace Electronics student, James Lye, who is also the co-founder of a start-up called Personal Media. Mr Lye, who secured Spring Singapore funding of $50,000 last year for his start-up opined on how Singapore provides a conducive eco-system for start-ups. Similar story was reported in Lianhe Zaobao.
