Agents of change in change-resistant modelling industries
19 Oct 2018
Article featured five women from the modelling industry who have been recognised for their uniqueness and daring attitude. One of them is SP’s Diploma in Interior Design student Phoebe Tan. Phoebe aspires to appear on the covers of international magazine titles, walk the runways of the big four Fashion Weeks, score a scholarship to the National University of Singapore's architecture department and eventually open her own interior design firm. She shared about her schedule, which includes practising her catwalk skills and poses when she is not working on school assignments, and running for an hour for three times a week. During her recent school holidays, she juggled modelling assignments with self-taught graphic design software lessons. She has since managed to design her own stickers. The go-getter is also eco-friendly – she is part of her school's environment club and walks the talk by recycling and avoiding plastic bags wherever possible. (The Straits Times, pD2)
