AI-powered solutions developed by students to help SMEs tackle scams and other issues

17 Jan 2025

SMEs will gain access to subsidised artificial intelligence (AI) tools and customised solutions through a new partnership with institutes of higher learning. The Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (Asme), ITE, NYP, and SP have signed an MOU to help SMEs increase their use of AI tools. Under the MOU, which was signed at the AI Festival Asia 2025 on 17 January, ITE students from the Higher Nitec in AI Applications course will collaborate with SMEs to develop AI solutions. This partnership aims to support the growth of these businesses while enhancing the employability of students. The two polytechnics will also offer applied AI programmes, providing SMEs with subsidised access to AI tools and resources.
