All buildings to be made friendly for people with disabilities by January next year

Article featured the public accessibility mapping exercise held at the Central Business District(CBD) area yesterday. Guest-of-Honour, Minister Desmond Lee, shared the revamped Code on Accessibility, which aims to make all buildings friendly for people with disabilities to move around with ease. As part of this project, 25 SP Diploma in Landscape Architecture students were involved in the data collection and site research of the CBD area. Based on their findings, the students also provided design recommendations that will be presented to the authorities to make real changes in the area. (Lianhe Zaobao, p3)
