Can unis reconsider taking in reformed youth?

Forum letter by a reader urged the universities to reconsider the application of SP’s Diploma in Mechanical Engineering graduate Fong Shao Cong. The reader noted that Shao Cong has turned over a new leaf by scoring a perfect GPA for his final two years in poly. The reader also pointed out Shao Cong’s nomination as the valedictorian for his graduation session and the glowing testimonial by his course chair as further proof that he has turned his life around.
