Article featured 23-year-old SP Diploma in Hotel and Leisure Facilities Management graduate, Umi Sabrina. Umi started working as a food deliverer to help earn money for her family’s expenses after her mother was diagnosed with Breast cancer last year. She would work for her internship company in the day and deliver food at night. She chose to work under Deliveroo as there is no delivery time limit. This allows her to complete every delivery trip safely. After the outbreak of Covid-19, Umi mentioned that while her delivery orders have not reduced, she had to observe more safety and hygiene regulations. She is very grateful for the warmth given by some of her customers, citing one incident where she received drinks and snacks for her service. (Lianhe Zaobao, p2)
