Developing a tracker for dementia patients

07 Aug 2018

Article featured SP’s Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering graduates Neo Yizhe and Chryston Chua. Both students developed a tracker for dementia patients based on Chryston’s personal experiences with his late grandmother who suffered from dementia. Unlike other trackers on the market, their tracker taps on the new Sigfox technology, which is able to cover a wider area without the use of a SIM Card. This allows the tracker to be built at a lower cost. Chryston and Yizhe’s invention recently took home the top prize at the Institute of Engineers Singapore’s Energy Innovation Challenge.
