Drivers aiming for taxi, private-hire licence will need to learn how to use digital tools

16 Nov 2021

Drivers trying to secure a licence for a taxi or private-hire car will need to know how to use digital maps and navigational tools as part of a revised training curriculum. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that this prepares drivers for the future and reinforces the need for upskilling. The updated curriculum was developed by SP’s PACE Academy. LTA also said that SP, which was appointed as a test centre in August 2020, will remain as the testing provider for the vocational licence and conversion course for taxi and private-hire car drivers.
