Ex-teacher went back to school to learn IT skills

The second of a four-part editorial series on reskilling and upskilling featured Kenneth Chua, who left his teaching job of 10 years to embark on a career in the tech industry. Kenneth graduated from SP with a Diploma in Electronics, Computer and Communication Engineering and went on to university to embark on a teaching career. Recently, Kenneth took up the 12-week Tech Immersion and Placement Programme (TIPP), to pick up fundamental programming skills and computer science knowledge. He is now five months into a new job as a systems quality assurance engineer for e-commerce platform Shopee.
