Forum: Nurturing students to become environmental stewards for life

MOE Divisional Director, Curriculum Planning & Development Division 2, Beatrice Chong addressed a reader’s forum letter who felt that a hands-on environmental education, from primary school to university, is needed to challenge the way people think critically about the environment and the impact they have on it. In her response, she thanked the reader for his insights and shared how MOE’s Eco Stewardship Programme nurture students to become lifelong environmental stewards. She also mentioned SP’s student-led Environment Club which organises programmes to raise awareness of environmental issues.
