GCE A-Level results out on Feb 22, those headed to poly can now enrol and graduate earlier

18 Feb 2019

Article highlighted that GCE A-Level holders who are planning to enrol in a polytechnic can now skip the first semester for 110 courses. The change will take place from Academic Year 2019, and eligible A-Level graduates can be admitted directly to Year 1 Semester 2 in October. This will reduce their polytechnic course from three years to two-and-a-half years. Article also featured A-Level holder Kwek Ai Ling, who is also an SP design alumna. The 26-year-old is currently an undergraduate at NUS’ School of Design and Environment, and opined that the change would benefit students who were clear on what they wanted to pursue in polytechnic. Similar story was reported in all SPH newspapers and Mediacorp platforms.
