Going on a hike with friends from same age group to celebrate National Day

Article featured 55-year-old SP alumnus, Cai Yicai. Since two years ago, Yicai has been hiking every Sunday. Earlier this year in April, Yicai asked three of his poly classmates to join him. The group of four have known each other since they were 17 years old. Although all of them went into different industries after graduation, they still kept in contact with each other regularly. Since they were all born in 1965, the same year that Singapore gained independence, Yicai suggested that they do something special to celebrate National Day. As a result, they each wore a printed T-shirt with the number 1, 9, 6 and 5 and went on a hike during National Day. They shared that it was a blessing to be as old as Singapore and hoped that the nation continues to prosper. (Lianhe Zaobao, p10)
