Bi-monthly column on the Merdeka Generation featured SP lecturer Rosli Ridzwan. He shared how he gave up a possible career in football to join the maritime industry. Over the years, Rosli worked his way up from a passenger ship steward boy to become a ship captain. After working in the industry for almost two decades, he decided to join the Singapore Maritime Academy at SP as a nautical studies lecturer in 1991. Since then, he has helped SP to develop a maritime diploma curriculum and has shared his knowledge with many students.
