ITE student turns gaming addiction into passion for programming and developing games

Article featured SP’s Diploma in Game Design & Development student, Alex Oh Jia Shun, who is the recipient of The Ngee Ann Kongsi Gold Medal 2020 Award for ITE students. Alex started playing computer games at the age of eight and his parents thought it was a ‘disturbing addiction’. Eventually, they embraced his passion and motivated him to pursue it as a career. He went to ITE to take up Nitec in Digital Animation, and after serving his National Service, he continued his Higher Nitec in Games Programming & Development.
