LTA trials the use of waste plastic for roads which are stronger, cooler and can reduce noise

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is trialling the use of materials made from waste plastic to pave some sections of roads. In addition to making the roads stronger, these new materials can also reduce driving noise and can cool down faster. The project is a collaboration between LTA, the National Environment Agency, SP and local construction company Samwoh.
