Meet members of Team Singapore going to WorldSkills Lyon 2024

Five recent ITE and polytechnic graduates – all gold medallists from WorldSkills Singapore 2023 – share their thoughts and what they are looking forward to as Team Singapore prepares for the competition in France. In this Q&A, Ms Calista Abella Ang, an SP graduate with a Diploma in Applied Chemistry, discusses their participation in the WSC, where she will solve problem statements, such as evaluating methods for analysing ascorbic acid in vitamin C. She is excited by topics like organic synthesis and enjoy the process of troubleshooting when things don't go as planned. She also mentions that there are often multiple ways to approach tasks, contrary to the single methods typically taught in school. Calista looks forward to experiencing Lyon, meeting international competitors, and learning about their different approaches.
