Mother and daughter unite to promote choir, Giving voice to special needs community

This article tells the story of Luo Baohua and her daughter, Ou Xianpei, and their involvement with The Very Special Choir, a choir made up of children and youth with special needs, including autism and Down syndrome. Luo Baohua, a 63-year-old logistics worker, took on a leadership role in the choir five years ago, witnessing how it helped her daughter, Ou Xianpei, gain confidence and expand her social circle. Ou Xianpei, who has Down syndrome, attended mainstream schools with additional support and now works as a retail assistant at a shop in SP after graduating from ITE. The article highlights Ou Xianpei's determination and independence.
