New award to recognise lab technicians

Article featured Cheong Kum Foong, the first Asian Scientist Magazine Lab Tech of the Year award recipient. The award recognises the important work done by laboratory technicians in supporting the tests conducted by scientists. Kum Foong shared how she started out as a trainee in 1972 before rising through the ranks to become a principal medical technologist and also a part-time adjunct lecturer at SP.
