New opportunities in SPH Media for Singapore Polytechnic students
12 Mar 2025
SPH Media and SP’s School of Media, Arts, & Design signed an MOU on 12 March 2025, offering students job shadowing opportunities, internships, talks and workshops. This collaboration will see joint content creation with SPH Media’s video and audio production facility STUDIO+65, utilising virtual production technology. The partnership aims to prepare students for the evolving media industry. Another MOU signed by SP with the Visual, Audio, Creative Content Professionals Association (Singapore) [VICPA] will expand training and development opportunities for freelancers in Singapore, starting with a SkillsFuture Singapore-commissioned study exploring the evolving landscape for creative freelancers, particularly the impact of AI and emerging technologies. This is the first study conducted on creative freelancing in Singapore. SP’s Principal & CEO, Mr Soh Wai Wah, said, “At Singapore Polytechnic, we are dedicated to nurturing talent and driving innovation in the creative sector. By creating opportunities for freelancers, anticipating technological advancements, and equipping our workforce with relevant skills at all levels, we are collectively building a world-class creative ecosystem for Singapore.”
