Nurse makes switch to army after stint as SAF volunteer

Article featured various Military Expert 4 (ME4) who attended the 22nd Senior Military Expert Appointment Ceremony.  One of the ME4 featured was SP alumni R. R. Poovindran Pillai. Pillai graduated from the Institute of Technical Education and furthered his education in Singapore Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Technology. He shares that he used to be a rebellious kid in secondary school, but signing on with the army as his national service stint groomed him to be a better person. [The Straits Times]
